Adobe After Effects — известнейшая программа для редактирования видео и динамических изображений, создания композиций, различных эффектов и анимации. Наиболее часто ее используют для обработки видеоматерилов (пост-продакшн), создания музыкальных клипов, рекламных роликов, анимации, титров, а также множества других элементов, для которых необходимы цифровые видеоэффекты.

Название происходит от эффекта, известного как «стойкость (инертность) зрительного ощущения», этот механизм использует сенсорную память сетчатки глаза, которая позволяет сохранять зрительную информацию в течение короткого промежутка времени.
